Destination Accessible provides safe, confidential crisis accommodation for individuals and families experiencing family and domestic violence including those with disability. This accommodation also allows pets. We work closely with Safe Steps, The Orange Door and The Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre to ensure every person receives coordinated, specialist support during crisis.
Our accommodation includes accessible, disability-friendly homes, offering a secure place stabilise, rest and plan your next steps with support from your care team.
What Happens Next?
Step 1: Connect with a specialist DFV service
Contact Safe Steps, The Orange Door, of The Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre to begin your intake and assessment. A Family Violence Specialist will provide support, outline support options, and with your consent, may recommend crisis accommodation.
Step 2: Request a Referral to Destination Accessible
If Crisis Accommodation is part of your safety plan, the support service may refer you to Destination Accessible. We provide fully furnished, self contained homes to prioritise your safety, privacy accessibility and dignity.
Step 3: Complete the Intake Form
A Family Violence Specialist will help ou complete the Destination Accessible Intake Form, available through The Orange Door, SAFV Centre, or Safe Steps. Once completed, they will submit it directly to Destination Accessible for assessment and eligibility related to housing capacity.
Step 4: Begin your stay
When you arrive, your home will be ready for immediate use, fully equipped, comfortable, and prepared with everything you neeed for your first days. Our team ensures you feel welcomed, supported, and able to focus on safety, recovery, and next steps.
